Denis Le Cheminant

A Service of Celebration, prior to cremation, for the life of Denis Le Cheminant, dearly loved husband of the late Cynthia, who died peacefully at Browhill Nursing Home, aged 94 years, was held at Le Foulon Chapel and was conducted by Annette Henry, Celebrant. Opening the service was a music compilation of Robert Farnham tracks. Included in the service was the Hymn, “Morning has Broken.” The eulogy, with tributes from the family, was given by Peter Le Cheminant, son. During a period of contemplation, accompanied by a photo montage, “In My Life,” by The Beatles, piano cover by Paul Hankinson, was played. The recessional music was “Fly me to the Moon,” by Frank Sinatra, featuring Count Basie and his Orchestra.  

Mourners were: Peter Le Cheminant, son and Louise Le Cheminant, daughter-in-law; Tim Le Cheminant, son and Marguerite Le Cheminant, daughter-in-law (also representing Sam and Lucy Le Cheminant, grandchildren and Louie and Masie, great-grandchildren); Peter Le Cheminant, grandson; Tim Le Cheminant, grandson and Michaela Ogier; Richard Le Cheminant, grandson and Natalie Moorat; Lauren Le Cheminant, granddaughter (also representing Lee, and Albie and Isla, great-grandchildren).

Also present were: Charlie Bradford; Tony Maunder (also representing Gale Maunder and Thomas Maunder); Sue and Jim Pascall (also representing Rachel Pascall); Jackie Gilman (also representing Jonathan Gilman); Sonia Cooney (also representing Michael and Maxine); Rosco Maunder; Janet Mauger; Heather and Dave Maunder (also representing the family); Ian Maunder; Deborah Maunder; Abby La Garff; Elise Maunder; 

Dr Philip Simpson (also representing Sian Simpson); Catherine representing Browhill Nursing Home staff and residents; Leslie Ferbrache; Carolyn Gallienne (also representing family and “Canada”).

Donations in lieu of flowers were to be sent to Les Bourgs Hospice, Andrew Mitchell House, Rue du Tertre,    St Andrews, GY6 8SF.

The arrangements were by Martels Funeral Services Ltd. with Paul Bougourd supervising.
