Chapel of Rest and Viewings

The Chapel of Rest has been dedicated by all the main religious denominations, and is tastefully decorated with seating where the family can pay their last respects to the deceased. It has proved an intimate and popular venue for private funerals, accommodating a maximum of twenty-four people. There is a simple light oak altar with matching cross and candlesticks; alongside the coffin stand two high candlesticks, and the stained glass windows have a single lily below the signs of the Alpha and Omega, which signifies the beginning and the end.
