Dr Charles Lane

Traditional Latin Mass was celebrated at St Joseph’s Church by Father Stanislaw Gibsinski for Dr Charles (Charlie) Daniel Lane, loved husband of Dr Carmen Wheatley, who died at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 78 years. Included in the service were Readings from the Epistle, St Paul to the Thessalonians I. 4:13-18 and the Gospel, Matthew 5:1-12 read by Father Gibsinski. The recessional music was Komm süsser Tod by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750).                        

The organist, Luke O’Donnell, accompanied the singing of the hymns, Help, Lord the Souls that Thou hast made, At the Lamb’s High Feast we Sing and Now Thank we all Our God. Cantors were Joey Edwards of the Tenebrae Choir and the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart from Dundee.
