Maureen Bichard
The funeral service for Maureen Elizabeth Bichard (née Martel), dearly loved wife of the late Stan, who died peacefully at home, aged 88 years, was held at St Saviour’s Parish Church and was conducted by The Revd Mark Charmley. The opening music was Gabriel’s Oboe. Included in the service was the Poem, Our Gran, written and read by Jo, granddaughter, the Bible Reading, John 14: 1-6 and the Tribute given by Revd Mark Leightley. During a time for reflection, I won’t forget you by Jim Reeves was played. The recessional music was Shubert’s, Ave Maria.
The organist, John Le Pelley, accompanied the singing of How great thou art and Abide with me.
The service was followed by private interment.
