Reuben Ashplant
The funeral service for Reuben Henry Ashplant, devoted husband of the late Patricia and adored partner of Ginta, who died at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 87 years, was held at St Saviours Church and was conducted by the Revd Mark Charmley assisted by Mrs Sarah-Jane Allen. Opening the service was the music, Angels by Robbie Williams. Included in the service was the Bible Reading, Psalm 121 and the Tribute. The Poem, When I am Gone, written by Lyman Hancock was read by daughter-in-law, Kim. During a time for reflection, Tell Him by Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion was played. The recessional music was Hold my Hand by Lady Gaga.
The organist, John Le Pelley, accompanied the singing of The Lord’s my Shepherd (Crimond) and Praise my Soul.
The service was followed by private interment.
