Alfred King

The funeral service for Alfred Edmund (Alf) King, dearly loved husband of Dot, who died peacefully at home, aged 91 years, was held at The Salvation Army, The Fortress, L’Islet and was conducted by Major Andrew Diaper-Clausen. Whilst congregating, the Band played a variation of music. Included in the service was a Family Tribute and the Bible Reading, Psalm 23 read by Major Diaper-Clausen. The closing music was Star Lake with the Band forming a Guard of Honour as the coffin left the Hall.                 

The Band also accompanied the singing of How great thou art and The old rugged cross.

The service was followed by private interment.
