Ruby Winterflood
A Service of Celebration for the life of Ruby Winterflood (née Osborne), cherished wife of the late Herbie, who died peacefully at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 95, was held at Les Capelles Methodist Church and conducted by the Revd Jacky Cottrell. The opening and closing music was by Andre Rieu. A photo montage was played as people arrived and seated. Included in the service were Memories of Mum given by Carolyn, daughter and Sam, grandson, the Bible Reading, John 14: 1-6, 27 read by Eve Weston, Reading of Desiderata read by Anne Dorey and a recording of Ruby reciting part of the Poem, The Old Man of Lochinvar by Sir Walter Scott.
The organist, Peter Le Messurier, accompanied the singing of To God be the glory and Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father. The service was followed by private cremation.
