Tony De La Mare

The funeral service for Tony De La Mare, dearly loved husband of the late Mary, who died peacefully at Gardenia Lodge Care Home, aged 85 years, was held at Holy Trinity Church and was conducted by the Revd Dr Adrian Datta. The opening music was Jealous of the Angels by Donna Taggart. Included in the service was the Eulogy given by Andre, son, the Poem, As we look back, read by Dionne, granddaughter, the Bible Reading John 14: 1-7 read by Christopher, grandson and Prayers given by Jean. The congregation sang along to the CD, Christ alone, Cornerstone and the recessional music was Goodbye by Kenny Rogers.              

The organist, Stephen Francis, accompanied the singing of Amazing Grace, Be still, for the presence of the Lord and Lord, I give you my heart.

The service was followed by private cremation.

Donations in lieu of flowers were to be sent to the Jubilee Social Club, c/o Sandra Collins, Jubilee House Day Centre, Grandes Maisons Road, St Sampsons, GY2 4JH.
