Alfred Laine

The funeral service for Alfred John Lainé, dearly loved husband of the late Ruth, who died at Blanchelande Park Retirement Home, aged 96 years, was held at Les Capelles Methodist Church and was conducted by the Revd Anne Richardson. The opening and recessional music was a playlist by André Rieu and Make me a channel of your peace, played on the organ. Included in the service was the Poem, God looked around his Garden, the Bible Reading John 14: 1-6, 27 and the Poem, Death is nothing at all by Henry Scott Holland all read by Revd Richardson with the Eulogy given by John Nicolle.

The organist, Martin Le Boutillier, accompanied the singing of Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us, We plough the fields and scatter and O Jesus I have promised.

The service was followed by private interment.
