Raymond Le Cras

The funeral service, prior to cremation, for Raymond (Ray) Stanley Le Cras, who died peacefully at Summerland House Nursing Home, aged 74 years, was held at Le Foulon Chapel and was conducted by Celebrant, Annette Henry. The processional music was Green Green Grass of Home by Tom Jones. Included in the service was the Poem, In the Garden, read by Lynette Mahy, niece. The Eulogy, including contributions from the family, was given by Annette. During a period of contemplation, Amazing Grace by Johnny Cash was played. The recessional music was, Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.  

Mourners were: Cliff Le Cras, brother and Barbara Le Cras, sister-in-law; David Le Cras, brother and Norma Le Cras, sister-in-law; Rachel Clark, sister (also representing Lee and Ty Clark, nephews); June Batiste, sister and Phil Batiste, brother-in-law; Lynette Mahy, niece and Steve Mahy; Aiden Mahy, great-nephew; Liam Mahy, great-nephew;

Carl Le Cras, nephew (also representing Amanda Fasola); Jon Batiste, nephew and Steph Batiste; Brian Johnson, nephew; Isabel Hills, cousin; Mandy Quinn (also representing Ken Quinn); Rodney and Carolyn Gillingham, cousins (also representing Cheryl Gillingham-Le Clourec, Helen Sylvester and their families, cousins, John and June Bichard).

Also present were: Alisha De Guerin; Sandra Diment; Roy Bougourd (also representing Tracey Bougourd); Tony and Sue Mahy (also representing Debbie, Dave, Josh and Isla Anderson); Brian (Curly) Vallois; Janet Robilliard (also representing Mark Robilliard); Roslyn Le Cras (also representing Ray, cousin, Gary, Lisa and Paul Le Cras); Richard and Jeanine Robert.

Flowers were from: Cliff, Babs, Dave, Norma, Rachel and June. Lynette, Steve, Aiden and Liam. Carl. Carol and Brian. Lee, Aimee, Tui, Ty, Jo, Cordelia and Clementine. Jon, Steph, Jake, Calum and Mia.

Donations in lieu of flowers were to be sent to Parkinsons Guernsey LBG, c/o The Treasurer, Schopwick, Port Soif Lane, Vale, GY6 8AH.
