Harvey Marshall
The funeral service for Harvey Christopher John Marshall, dearly loved husband of Hazel, who died peacefully at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 80, was held at The Town Church and was conducted by the Revd Peter Graysmith. The processional music was Nimrod by Edward Elgar. Included in the service was the Tribute given by Hazel, who also read the Poem If I should Go by Joyce Grenfell, the Bible Reading, John 14: 1-6, read by Sarah-Jane Allen and the Reading, What Will Matter by Michael Josephson, read by Rick James. The Lord is my Shepherd by John Rutter was sung by soprano soloist, Sally Henderson accompanied by the Choir and Oboe soloist, Elizabeth Green. The Lord’s Prayer was also sung by the Choir. The Blessing was pronounced by The Dean, The Very Revd Tim Barker. The recessional music was the Carillon de Westminster by Louis Vierne.
The organist, Stephen Le Prevost, accompanied the singing of Abide with me, fast falls the eventide, Jerusalem and The day thou gavest, Lord, is ended.
The service was followed by a private cremation.
