Jack Greenough

A Service of Celebration prior to cremation, for Jack Greenough, adored husband of the late Sheila, who died peacefully at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 85, was held at Les Cotils and was conducted by Celebrant, Michelle Duquemin. Opening the service was the music, All I have to do is Dream by The Everly Brothers. Included in the service were the poems, Who Knows, written by Jack, He Always Takes the Best, To my dear Mum and Dad in Heaven together with Memories of Jack all read by Michelle. During a time of reflection, accompanied by a photo montage, I love you Because by Jim Reeves was played. The recessional music was Raining in my Heart by Buddy Holly.                 

The service was followed by private cremation.

Mourners were: Julie Terpstra, daughter and Andrew Terpstra, son-in-law (also representing Brenda Briars, sister and family in Surrey, Yvonne and Dave Jones, sister-in-law and brother-in-law in Bolton and Tina, niece, Mal Lyon and family in Bolton, Elise Terpstra); Ryan Terpstra, grandson and Jessica Berry; Leah Terpstra, granddaughter and Ed Mason;

Paul and Marie Scholes, niece and nephew (also representing Rebecca and James, and Glenda, Ian and Richard Wilkes in Bolton); David Le Normand, nephew (also representing Mandy Le Normand in the Isle of Wight); Andy and Julie Lemee, cousins.

Also present were: Annette Marquand; Joan Wenman; Patti Jehan (also representing Lizzy in Spain); Steve Greenway (also representing Sam Greenway and Guernsey Sheltered Housing Group Ltd); Henry Torode (also representing Pam Torode, Gerald and Betty Blondel); Sara Rolls; Paul Rolls; Keanu Rolls; Julie Agnies (also representing Dave); Rachel Robins (also representing Kemi and Kai); Sue Farnham;        

Brenda Le Marchant; Emma Ozanne (also representing staff and residents at Coolderry House Residential Home and Jayne Le Gallez); Joelle and Jeff Shaw (also representing Laura and Tom and Geoffrey Lemee); Sandie Clarke (also representing Jubilee Social Club); Natalie Collins; Carol Renouf; Neil Simon; Juliette Hargetion (also representing the Family History Section of La Société Guernesiaise); Moira Norman (also representing Adrian Norman, Mark and Ali Froome, Natalie and Josh Gosselin); Becki Norman.

Flowers were from: Julie and Andrew. Ryan and Leah.

Donations in lieu of flowers were to be sent to the Guernsey Alzheimers Association,  The Centre, Rue des Monts, Delancey, St Sampsons, GY2 4HU.

The arrangements were by Martels Funeral Services Ltd. with Paul Bougourd  supervising.
