Colin Archer
The funeral service for Colin Archer, partner of Sophie, who died peacefully at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 62, was held at the Vale Parish Church and was conducted by the Revd Beverley Hervè. Opening the service was Glory, Glory Man United by The World Red Army. Included in the service was the Bible Reading John 14: 1-6, 26, 27 and the Tribute to Colin, both read by Revd Hervè. During a period of reflection, Chiquitita by Abba and He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother by The Hollies was played. The recessional music was Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum.
The organist, Andrew Warren, accompanied the singing of The old rugged cross and Abide with me; fast falls the eventide.
The service was followed by private cremation.
