Margaret Martin

The funeral service for Margaret (Meg) Martin, widow of Derek who died peacefully at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 95, was held at St Sampson’s Parish Church and was conducted by the Revd Jan Le Billon. Opening the service, Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran was played. Included in the service were the Poems, A Message for our Mum read by Pat, Syl and Mag, daughters and a Message from Mum read by Maureen, daughter. The Eulogy, prepared by the family and the Bible Reading John 14: 1-6, 27 were read by Revd Le Billon. During the period for reflective memories, Stranger on the Shore by Acker Bilk was played. The recessional music was, My Happiness, by Ella Fitzgerald.

The organist, Robin Le Poidevin, accompanied the singing of All Things Bright and Beautiful, Amazing Grace with the first verse sung by Annette, granddaughter and Nana Aboagye and One More Step Along the World I Go.

The service was followed by private cremation.
