Roy Holland

The funeral service, prior to cremation, for Roy Vincent Holland, widower of Mary, who died at Les Bourgs Hospice, aged 82, was held at Le Foulon Chapel and was conducted by Celebrant, Michelle Duquemin. The opening music was Smooth Sailin by Daniel O’Donnell. Included in the service was a Tribute to Roy and the Poem, God looked around his Garden, both read by Michelle. During a time of reflection, Sailing by Rod Stewart was played and the closing music was Somewhere my Love from Dr Zhivago by Andy Williams.

The organist, Graham Martel, accompanied the singing of All things bright and beautiful.

Mourners were: Theresa Welch, daughter and Steve Welch, son-in-law; Tony Holland, son (also representing Annette Monique Montegriffo); Kevin Welch, grandson and Kirsty Welch (also representing Kayden Welch, great-grandson); Sarah Welch, granddaughter and Gareth Keast; Molly Holland, granddaughter (also representing Ben, Sophie; Jack, Joseph and Megan, grandchildren and all great-grandchildren); Skye Batiste, great-granddaughter and Ryan Le Noury;

Kiarra Broome, great-granddaughter and Michael Broome, great-grandson; Jean and Dave Collins, sister and brother-in-law (also representing Kath and Colin Hudson, sister and brother-in-law in Bolton and family); Margaret De Carteret sister-in-law (also representing Paula Help, niece, Mark Help and family; Mandy De Carteret, niece in Northern Ireland and family); Paula Cluett, cousin (also representing June Fox, cousin and family, Darryl, Thomas, Megan and Children, Rob, Anya, Ness and Sean); Sharon Natt, cousin.

Flowers were from: Theresa and Steve. Tony and Annette. Kevin, Sarah, Kirsty, Gary, Skye, Ryan, Kiarra, Michael and Kayden. Ben, Sophie, Molly, Jack, Joseph, Megan and all the great-grandchildren.

Donations in lieu of flowers were to be sent to Les Bourgs Hospice, Rue du Tertre, St Andrews, GY6 8SF.
