Julie Dyer

The funeral service for Julie Ann Dyer (née Lainé), wife of Chris, who died peacefully at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 64, was held at St Sampson’s Parish Church and was conducted by the Revd Justin Taylor. Upon arrival at the Church a guard of honour was provided by past and present members of the Sarnia Sword Club and a representative of the Royal Navy. The entrance music was ‘Supermarket flowers’ by Ed Sheeran. Included in the service was the Bible reading 1 Corinthians 13, and the poem ‘One’ by Shawnee Kellie, both read by Lindsey Veillard. Reflections read by Jennifer Ashworth, Ross Martel and Joanna Dyer, daughter. During a period for reflective memories, ‘Make you feel my love’ by Adele was played. The recessional music was ‘How long will I love you’ by Ellie Goulding.
The organist, Graham Martel, accompanied the singing of ‘Morning has broken’, ‘Make me a channel of your peace’ and ‘All things bright and beautiful’. The service was followed by private cremation.
