Wenda Matthews

The funeral service for Wenda Eva Matthews (née Manuel), who died peacefully at Les Bourgs Hospice, aged 79, was held at the Vale Parish Church and was conducted by the Revd Beverley Hervé. The entrance music was Songbird by Eva Cassidy. Included in the service was the Bible Reading, John 14: 1-6 read by Revd Hervé, Memories of Wenda read by Simon, son and the Poem, My Brilliant Mother by Casey Gamble, read by Clare, daughter. During a time of reflection, Do you want to dance by Cliff Richard, a favourite of Wenda, was played. The Recessional Music was Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran.                  

The organist, Andrew Warren, accompanied the singing of Morning has broken.

The service was followed by private cremation.
