Philip Bond

The funeral service for Philip John Bond, beloved father of Matt, Nick, Robert and Katie and partner to Margy, who died at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 81, was held at the Castel Parish Church and was conducted by The Rt Revd Nick Drayson. Opening the service was the Music, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by Johann Sebastian Bach. Included in the service were family tributes read by Katie, the Poems, Our Father Kept a Garden, by Unknown Author, read by Matt, Epitaph on my Own Friend by Robert Burns, read by Nick, Immortality by Clare Horner, read by Robert and the Bible Reading, Psalm 95: 1-7 read by Revd Drayson. During a period of reflection a recording of Philip playing, Litany for All Souls Day by Schubert was played. Ian Honeyman sang, Largo from Ombra Mai Fu by Handel. The Recessional Music was, Sheep May Safely Graze by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The organist, Ian Honeyman, accompanied the singing of Jesu, lover of my soul and My song is love unknown
The service was followed by private interment.
