Michael Carre

Requiem Mass was concelebrated at St Joseph’s Church by Father Inna Reddy Gade, assisted by Deacon Mark Leightley and Canon Gerard Hetherington, for Michael Brian Carré, husband of Marian, who died peacefully at home, aged 80. Prior to the service a selection of Sacred Music was sung by The Guernsey Welsh Male Voice Choir, who also sung during the Communion. The Processional Hymn was Guide me, O thou great Jehovah. Included in the service were words of remembrance read by Jane Carré, daughter, the First Reading from the Book of Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 read by Paul Carré, son and Gospel Reading, John 14: 1-6 read by Deacon Mark Leightley. The Recessional Music was, In Paradisum by Faure.
The organist, Luke O’Donnell, accompanied the singing of, Guide me, O thou great Jehovah, The Lord’s my Shepherd (Crimond) and Love divine, all loves excelling.
The service was followed by private interment.
