Daphne Bacon

The funeral service for Daphne Maud Bacon (née McKane), wife of Dave, who died on Brehon Ward aged 82, was held at the Vale Parish Church and was conducted by The Revd Beverley Hervé. Opening the service was the music, I will always love you – Panpipes. Included in the service was the Bible Reading, John 14: 1-6, 26, 27 read by Katie, granddaughter, a Tribute written and read by Dave, with further thoughts from Mark and Jules read by Revd Hervé and the Poem, Let Me Go, written by Christina Rossetti, read by Sam, grandson. During a time of reflection, Always on my Mind by Willie Nelson was played. The recessional music was Unforgettable by Nat King Cole.
The organist, Andrew Warren, accompanied the singing of Abide with me; fast falls the eventide and The Lord’s my Shepherd (Crimond).
The service was followed by private interment.
