Delma Heaume

The funeral service for Delma Emma Mary Heaume (née Watson), widow of Basil (Bas), who died at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 90, was held at St John’s Church and was conducted by the Revd Solveig Sonet. The opening music was Nimrod. Included in the service was the reading, You can shed tears that they have gone read by Patrick Bougourd, grandson, the Eulogy was given by Martin Bougourd, grandson together with the poem, If roses grow in heaven. The music interlude was Unchained Melody sung by Robson and Jerome. The closing music was Nan’s Song by Robbie Williams.  

The organist, Graham Martel, accompanied the singing of The Lord is my Shepherd (Crimond) and The day thou gavest.

The service was followed by private interment.

Mourners were: Bridie Bougourd, daughter-in-law; John Bougourd, son-in-law; Martin Bougourd, grandson and Kelly Bougourd (also representing Amelia-Jane, great-granddaughter and Evelyn Bougourd, great-granddaughter); Patrick Bougourd, grandson and Vonnie Bougourd (also representing Lottie Bougourd, great-granddaughter); Mary Mitchell, cousin (also representing David and Jean Domaille, cousin, Claire and David Hobson).

Also present were: Barry Nicolle; Win Le Cheminant; Marie Wild (also representing James Wild); Gemma Blackler (also representing Gavin Batiste, Evie and Harley Blackler); Trevor Blackler; Heather Robilliard; Ian Mollet (also representing Marissa, Craig and Luke Mollet); Roy and Linda Wasteney; Roger Simon and Pat Simon (also representing Julian Simon); Dave Bougourd (also representing Margaret Bougourd); Colin Mechem (also representing Michelle Mechem and Rose Fallaize). Not present but wishing to be represented – Pauline Clarkson.

Flowers were from. The family.

Donations in lieu were to be sent to St John Ambulance and Rescue Service, The Rohais, St Peter Port, GY1 1YN.

The arrangements were by Martels Funeral Services Ltd. with Joan Ozanne supervising.
