Edward (Ted) McDonaugh
Requiem Mass was celebrated at St Joseph’s Church by Father Inna Reddy Gade for Edward (Ted) David McDonaugh, husband of Margaret, who died peacefully at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 86. During the service the Eulogy was given by John Frankland, the First Reading, Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 read by Fay Ogilvie, niece, the Second Reading, St Paul to the Philippians Ch 3: 20-21 read by Laura Bennett, niece, Gospel Reading, Matthew 11: 25-30 read by Deacon Mark Leightley, Prayers of the Faithful led by Cathy Greening and Canon Hetherington assisting the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
The organist, Luke O’Donnell, accompanied the singing of the Entrance Hymn, Morning has broken, the Psalm, The Lord’s my Shepherd (Crimond), Offertory Hymn, Make me a channel of your peace, Communion Hymn, Praise my soul, the King of heaven and the Recessional Hymn, Eternal Father, strong to save.
The service was followed by private cremation.
