Margaret Carre
The funeral service for Margaret Ann Carré (nee Timms), beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Carré, who died peacefully at Les Bourgs Hospice, aged 79, was held at St Sampsons Parish Church and was conducted by The Dean, The Very Revd Tim Barker. As the cortege walked into the church, Green Door by Shakin Stevens was played. The Address and family tributes were given by The Dean and Stranger on the Shore by Acker Bilk was played during Reflection. The service ended with Delilah by Tom Jones.
The organist Robin Le Poidevin accompanied the singing of All things bright and beautiful and Abide with me; fast falls the eventide.
The service was followed by private cremation.
Mourners were: Martyn Carré, son and Valentina Carré, daughter-in-law; Oliver Carré, grandson; Isabel Carré, granddaughter; Thomas Carré, grandson; Nigel Carré, son and Yvonne Carré, daughter-in-law (also representing Ailbhe, granddaughter, Daniel, grandson and from Ireland, Michael and Mary Hogan, Michelle Hogan, Alan Egan, Ella and Ollie); Diane Enz, sister (also representing Kurt Enz, brother-in-law, Julie Spitz, niece and her husband Patrick Spitz, Daren Enz, nephew, Mike and Ben Spitz, great-nephews, Willi Supper, brother-in-law and Michael Supper, nephew in Austria).
