Ruth Duport

The funeral service, prior to cremation, for Ruth Joyce Duport (née Clarke), widow of John, who died at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, aged 91, was held at Le Foulon Chapel and was conducted by Revd Jan Le Billon. Included in the service was a family tribute and the Bible Reading John 14: 1-6, 27 read by Revd Le Billon. The organist, Stephen Francis, accompanied the singing of The Lord’s my Shepherd (Crimond) and Abide with me; fast falls the eventide.

Mourners were: Derek Duport, son; Michael (Fred) Ozanne, son-in-law (also representing Mick and Betty Le Blond, Bryan and Bev Le Breton, Marina and Paul in Bury, Sandra and David in Manchester); John Ozanne, grandson; Steven Ozanne, grandson (also representing Charlotte Ozanne, Ivy Ozanne, great-granddaughter and Reuben Ozanne, great-grandson); Mary Morrissey, niece and Sean Morrissey, nephew (also representing Paul, Jodie Beth and Myla).

Also present were: John Sarre; Graham Gallienne (also representing Mandy Grogan and Hazel (Ada) Le Page); Margaret Smith (also representing Eileen Langford and Maureen Hunter); Gill Martel (also representing Residents of Coolderry House Residential Home and Jane); Chris Lewis (also representing Management and Staff of Coolderry House Residential Home); Sandra Clarke; Beryl and Paul Ogier; Henry Clarke and Martin Clarke (also representing Sally-Ann Clarke, Julie Clarke and Rose Knight); Terry and Diane Thomas; Ken Mourant (also representing Pat Mourant, Keith Mourant and Lee Mourant).

Flowers were from. Derek. Fred, John and Charli. Mary and Sean.

Donations in lieu of flowers were to be sent to Les Bourgs Hospice, Rue du Tertre, St Andrew’s, GY6 8SF.

The arrangements were by Martels Funeral Services Ltd. with Paul Bougourd supervising.
